We're a Chichester pub focused on proper food done well. Our menu mixes British comfort classics—fish and chips, treacle tart, bubble and squeak—with bolder flavours like salt and pepper squid, chicken tikka drumsticks, and Sussex Charmer cheese croquettes with truffle. Dishes are made for sharing or settling in with, and our slow-cooked lamb comes with a drink included. Vegetarian and vegan options available.

By Bus

Our nearest bus stop is right next to the market car park. Use the directions above to find us from there.

Chichester train station is 10 minutes’ walk away and is found at the bottom of South Street. Walk straight up South Street to the town centre, turn right, and walk to the end of East Street. Cross the crossing, then turn left onto The Hornet - we are on the right hand side

The local market is held on Wednesdays & Saturdays until 2pm and car boot on Sunday, this represents a great way to spend a morning. It’s just a minute’s walk from the pub. Chichester Cathedral is another top attraction, just five minutes’ walk, while Chichester Festival Theatre is a 15 minutes away at the top of North Street.
